PaRD Annual Forum 2025: Pilgrims of Action – Faith-Inspired Action for Food Security, Justice, and Well-being
 6–8 October 2025 | Rome, Italy

The 2025 PaRD Annual Forum on Religion and Sustainable Development will convene in the historic city of Rome at a time of profound global challenges and disruptions. Aligned with the Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church, themed “Pilgrims of Hope”, this year’s forum offers a unique opportunity to deepen multistakeholder collaboration on urgent global issues including hunger, poverty, inequality, and injustice.

Rome, as the host city, provides an ideal setting to amplify the contributions of religious and faith-based actors to global food systems, health, and sustainable development. It is home to key international institutions on food and agriculture, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and the World Food Programme (WFP). Building on PaRD’s engagement in the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, launched at the G20 Summit in Rio (2024), the Forum reaffirms PaRD’s commitment to promoting inclusive, locally rooted, and values-driven responses to food insecurity, malnutrition, and health disparities. The Forum will highlight responses by religious actors in addressing SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

The 2025 Forum will serve as a living laboratory for “pilgrims of hope and action” – individuals and institutions who walk together across faiths, institutions, regions, and sectors to co-create a more just, resilient, and nourishing world. The PaRD Annual Forum 2025 promises to be a unique event, combining spiritual vision with practical action towards sustainable development.
