CSW67 Side Event: Bridging the gender digital divide: Using Digital Tools to Advance the SRHR of Women and Girls
The session "Bridging the gender digital divide: Using digital tools to advance the SRHR of women and girls, with case studies from Uganda and Malawi" aims at highlighting the experiences of young women and girls using digital tools in advocating for and accessing sexual and reproductive health rights. It will explore women and girls' individual experiences of engaging within the digital world; the opportunities, challenges and risks that women and girls have found in digital tools and spaces. Drawing on the experiences during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, the session will also look at how technology has transformed and created opportunities for addressing multiple service provision, addressing access barriers through the (re)designing of and provision of integrated sexual and reproductive health care.
