Webinar on Bridge Builders model with focus on South Sudan

Webinar about findings from the two-year Bridge Builders project, which established a capacity sharing model between local faith actors interacting with international humanitarian actors - with LFA from South Sudan, November 24th, 13:30-14:30 GMT.

Hear about findings from the two-year Bridge Builders project, which established a capacity sharing model between local faith actors interacting with international humanitarian actors, as explained in the Bridge Builders report. This report outlines and analyses the implementation of the Bridge Builder Model. This is a two-way, capacity-sharing model aimed at bringing together local faith actors (LFAs) and international humanitarian actors to increase understanding, trust, coordination and collaboration.

The model was developed by the Bridging the Gap Consortium (Tearfund UK, Tearfund Belgium, Tearfund in South Sudan, RedR UK, Islamic Relief Worldwide, Islamic Relief in South Sudan, the Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities [JLI] and the University of Leeds) and piloted in 2018–2019 in South Sudan.

South Sudanese local faith actors in the webinar will share feedback and lessons learned from the project. The webinar will discuss the Bridge Builder model in breakouts, comparing it to other localization models and its impact on the work of local faith actors interacting with international humanitarian actors in responding to COVID-19.
