LM International

LM International is a globally transformative, nexus-grounded, faith-based foundation with a bold mission: to eradicate poverty and empower vulnerable communities through sustainable, inclusive development. Since 1958, LM has worked in over 80 countries, and today operates in 25 countries across four continents, delivering impact through locally anchored programs in WASH, health, inclusive education, food security, and livelihoods. What sets LM apart is their ability to translate faith values into tangible change. Their work is rooted in a deep commitment to human dignity, justice, and compassion, and they actively promote Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) and faith literacy as part of their rights-based approach. They believe that faith communities are not only spiritually centered—they are often represented in the forms of moral duty bearers, first responders, and drivers of social cohesion in times of crisis and transformation. LM collaborates with governments, civil society, academia, the private sector, and local faith actors to co-create solutions that are culturally sensitive, locally owned, and globally informed. As a certified member of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) Alliance, they uphold the Humanitarian Charter, CHS Commitments, and Sphere Standards, ensuring that their work meets the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and ethical practice. They are proud board members and strategically contributors to leading global faith networks, including: Joint Learning Initiative on Faith and Local Communities (JLI), Multi Faith Advisory Council (MFAC), Integral Alliance, EU-CORD, Accord Network, Faith for Earth in UNEP. These platforms allow them to amplify the voice of faith-based actors, share innovations, and advocate for the role of religion in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
