Gusdurian Network

The Gusdurian Network Indonesia (GNI) is a grassroots social movement inspired by the values and legacy of the late Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid, affectionately known as Gus Dur. Established in 2010, GNI operates as a decentralized network without formal membership, uniting individuals, local communities, and organizations committed to promoting pluralism, democracy, and human rights across Indonesia and internationally. GNI is grounded in the “9 (Nine) Values of Gus Dur), which include: spirituality, humanity, justice, equality, liberation, brotherhood, humility, Chivalry, and wisdom of tradition. These principles guide GNI’s mission to foster interfaith dialogue, uphold human rights, and encourage active citizenship, all while steering clear of practical politics. The network engages in various initiatives, including Interfaith Dialogue, Human Rights Advocacy, Community Development, and humanitarian action.
