International Dialogue Research & Awareness Centre Islamabad Pakistan (IDRAC)

IDRAC (literally perception and awareness in Urdu and Arabic languages) – The International Dialogue, Research & Awareness Center endeavours to provide a platform – for scholars and lay alike – to study, understand, interact with the idea and practice of religions not only from an academic perspective, rather from the perspective of seeking ways of translating the universal dictates and principles of Islam and other world religion(s) into action in a manner that leads to a better understanding of oneself and of the ‘other’. It is our conviction that this can best be done by spiritual and moral development as it ensures that all human endeavours, whether individual or collective are driven by a sense of moral uprightness and responsibility. We are hopeful that this will eventually lead to the creation of a harmonious society which is at peace with itself, all its ethnicities and followers of other religious traditions and subsequently is able to face the challenges confronting the Pakistani society both spiritually and socially.
