​​Established in 2018, MYF is the first youth foundation focused on Mediterranean countries, led by youth to serve and engage them in social life, especially those with limited opportunities. Recognised for its achievements, MYF won the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment in 2020 and received the United Nations and BMW Prize for Innovation and Intercultural Dialogue in 2021. The foundation’s core message revolves around fostering cultural and youth cooperation among Mediterranean countries through cultural exchange programs to empower, communicate, and contribute to peace-building. MYF’s priorities include facilitating movement, promoting education in human rights, forming partnerships to achieve goals, advocating for climate, women, and youth, and enhancing capacity in the field of youth work.​
