The First Intercontinental Youth Forum in Southeast Asia will be held from December 4th to 6th, 2019 in Jakarta. Are you engaged or interested in preventing violent extremism? Please apply until November 4th!
Are you engaged or interested in preventing violent extremism? Do you have experience in and/or want to learn more about building social cohesion through interfaith dialogue? Are you excited about exchanging ideas with like-minded young people from all over the world?
This Forum will help youth understand violent extremism in the regional context, i.e. root causes and triggers, while exploring the types of violent extremism and existing trends in the region. It will also introduce the concept and different means of preventing violent extremism by drawing on the soft power of religion and dialogue.
This forum will serve as an exchange and experience sharing platform by bringing together iDovers from Europe, Africa and the Middle East who participated in the previous forums and iDove activities. Additionally, it seeks to explore the challenges, gaps and accordingly develop approaches to PVE.
The Youth Forum is collaboratively organized by PaRD members AUC-CIDO, the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers, with the support from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
