A year and a half into the COVID-19 pandemic, many countries continue to be in a crisis. Religious and faith communities continue to play a critical role in the response, but many challenges still lie ahead. One of PaRD’s main aims has always been to make sure that local voices of religious and faith communities are heard.
This is why the PaRD Health work-stream is developing a series of regionally based forums. The two forums will bring together local religious and faith communities and key stakeholders to discuss challenges and local solutions to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
To do this effectively we need your help to engage local voices of religious and faith communities and to shape the forum series.
We hope that these forums will:
• provide a space in which religious and faith actors can unpack local challenges facing their region
• enable religious and faith communities to consider and exchange solutions that religious organisations can continue to play in the COVID-19 response in their context
• reflect on the localisation of global approaches for religious and faith leaders and lessons learned in each context
We welcome you to join us in the planning of the regional forums. Please reply to info@pard.international and let us know if you would be interested in planning these forums.
The first planning meeting will be convened on Wednesday, August 11, 15:00 – 16.30 pm CEST/ 9:00 am – 10:30 am EDT.
You can join the meeting with the Microsoft Teams link.
We will be happy to have you at the discussions.
