The executive committee, on behalf of the central committee of the World Council of Churches (WCC), has decided, in close consultation with the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and other host churches and local partners, to postpone the 11th assembly, originally planned for September 2021 in Karlsruhe, Germany, until 2022.
The three-day event will examine research evidence around the role of religious community engagement and faith-based organizations in global development and humanitarian assistance to consider implications for USAID policy and practice. Through this Call for Presentation Proposals, USAID will provide an opportunity for academics, researchers and practitioners to showcase emerging research, new data and trends and promising practices in this subject area. For additional information regarding the required content and format of the proposals, please click here.
The submission deadline for this call is July 17th, 2020 at 5:00pm EST.
Applications should be sent to cfoi@usaid.gov and should include the applicant’s name and “USAID Evidence Summit Proposal” in the subject line. Questions regarding the Evidence Summit and the corresponding Call for Presentation Proposals may be sent directly to Amanda Vigneaud at avigneaud@usaid.gov.
