The main focus of the sixty-ninth session will be on the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcomes of the 23rd special session of the General Assembly.

Theme: “Partnerships for Accelerating Sustainable Development and Climate Solutions”. The Summit will focus on the role of partnerships in advancing the global sustainable development agenda and driving transformative change.

PaRD’s Leadership will meet in Jakarta (Indonesia) to set priorities and discuss activities for 2025 and early 2026.

The research conference organised by the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) is focusing on violence against women, violence against children, and other forms of violence driven by gender inequality in low and middle-income countries.

The 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will convene in October – November 2024. The 11th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties (MOP) to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (CP-MOP-11) and the fifth MOP to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of the Benefits Arising from their Utilization (NP-MOP-5) will also convene.

In various sessions, the three-day-event explores the crucial role of houses of worship (in this case, the takmir of masjid) and of religious leaders in fostering environmental conservation and addressing climate change, aligning with SDG 13.
