Under the theme “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for a sustainable future for all” the Forum will place a special emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals under in-depth review at the 2026 high-level political forum on sustainable development (HLPF), namely Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 9 (Industry Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

This session will formally launch the Global Faith-Based Nutrition Dialogue Report, introduce the Faith Leaders’ Joint Statement on the Right to Food and Nutrition, and outline next steps for mobilisation and action across the Partnership. The session will also feature reflections from World Vision field offices involved in the dialogue process, alongside insights from our strategic faith partners, Caritas Internationalis and the World Council of Churches.

World leaders from government, business, civil society and academia will convene in Davos to engage in forward-looking discussions to address global issues and set priorities.

The GFFA is the global conference that deals with the future of food and agriculture.

UNEA is the highest decision-making body on environmental matters in the UN system and has a universal membership of all 193 Member States. The Assembly sets the global environmental agenda, provides overarching policy guidance, and defines policy responses to address emerging environmental challenges.

South Africa fully supports the approach of strengthening partnerships and expanding dialogue with a wide range of actors; including States, international organisations and civil society; to collectively shape the G20’s approach to issues requiring international cooperation.

It will include the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 30), the 20th meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 20), and the seventh meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 7), as well as the 63rd sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 63) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 63) will also meet.

The hybrid conference, hosted by CKU and Digni, will present good practices in FoRB promotion and protection from 2020-2025, based on projects funded by Digni and CKU. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for FoRB practitioners and policy makers to come together and discuss, learn and reflect on good practices in FoRB promotion and protection. It will be a platform for exchanging ideas, learn from each other’s experiences, and strengthen the commitment to promoting freedom of religion or belief.
